Here's the introduction to "A Year's Worth of Advice":
I get mail from readers of my books and articles every day of the year. Readers feel compelled to ask questions, rant, suggest, praise, chide, and generally comment on things I've written - and I love them all for it!
My first book "Being a Man in a Woman's World™" is controversial to say the least! In every interview I've given, they all want to know, "What makes it a 'woman's world'?"
When I wrote this book, I made the following promises to my readers and myself:
- I would answer ever single letter I received regardless of topic or content,
- I would personally answer - I wouldn't have a staff member or professional writer do it for me, and,
- Every letter would be answered quickly - within 48 hours!
You can imagine what a burden this last goal is with the volume of letters I get! However, I can say that I haven't missed a single deadline yet. Why is this important? Because, many people are plagued with problems TODAY. They need answers TODAY. They don't want to wait a week, two weeks, a month or more to get an answer. They don't want to have to read my articles week to week hoping that their mail is answered. Almost every response I get to my answers starts with "Thanks for such a quick reply!" But then, my loyal readers deserve no less.
Some of the mail I get asks that I don't publish their question/answer or that I don't use it in any of my articles. I honor each and every such request, and nothing you read in this book will have come from any mail with such a request of privacy.
Of course, some of my mail actually ASKS that I post it! These are truly selfless people that believe that others can benefit from their experiences. If you are one of these people - thank you from me, and from all those that have benefited through your generosity.
